Merry Xmas Mr. Bush

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR TO MR.GEORGE W.BUSH, PRESIDENT OF THE USA AND LEADER OF THE WORLD. GOD BLE$$ AMERICA.

After several years of silence, Terrorpilot comes back with a new flash movie. I have wondered a lot whether publishing this or not, because it’s easy being tempted falling into retorical issues. War is wrong. I learned it when i was just a child. When a war is over, the winner is a loser too. More than 2000 american soldiers have died in Iraq. Isn’t that much more than enough? One next to the other, like Christmas trees, they form a giant forest, recognizable only by their name, rank, (usually) very young age, and personal history.
This is my contribution to Christmas, the hypocritical time of the year when everybody tries to pretend everything is all right, especially when it isn’t, by far.

“for those of you who support this war… what about actual outcomes? over 30,000 perhaps 100,000 iraqi civilians killed. do you think the families of these people will forgive and forget? ”

If you’re going to cite numbers, why not cite them FULLY? What percentage of those Iraqi civillians were killed by IRAQI INSURGENTS…snipers and truck bombs murdering their own countrymen because..

    …why?

…because they were standing in line to vote. That’s how badly the Iraqi people feel about this … they’re willing to risk that death, at the hands of those murderers, to exercise that right to vote!

While we’re at it, how about mentioning how many citizens of Iraq were killed by Hussein, himself? He threw an airstrike that targeted a city of his OWN PEOPLE with five different kinds of aerosol neurotoxin (and for those of you who still think “WMD means Nuke”, aerosol neurotoxins are also Weapons of Mass Destruction!)

He did this to a city of 80,000 just because a significant fraction of that population were Kurds…but since nerve gas can’t be targeted to Kurds alone, this shows that he frankly didn’t give a shit WHO he killed…as long as he killed a few Kurds along with them. (SEREN is bad enough…ever WATCH someone die of mustard gas? It’s a particularly hideous way to die…and Iraqi CHILDREN died that way at Hussein’s hands! The incidence of stillbirths and birth defects following that attack alone is STILL…TWENTY YEARS LATER…contributing to the death toll to be laid at Hussein’s door!

During his regime, particularly in the years following his unprovoked invasion of Kuwait (which he left a smoking ruin out of sheer “If I can’t have it, I’ll destroy it” childish spite!) Hussein actually killed more of his OWN people than have died in this entire war!

If you’re going to cite numbers…cite them all.

what is happening in iraq today? thanks to flawed rushed elections we now have a shiite government that is aligning itself with the religious nuts in iran - which is rejected by the minority sunni’s and likely to plunge the country further into a civil war and perhaps destabilized the entire region. the real winner out of this war was osama bin laden and ilk.

look deep people - these men died for a mistake (bush and his people admit it) now the politicians that sent them there are trying to cover their asses and bring them home while the iraqi people suffer.

shame on you who support this war - just like the liars and deniers who supported the war in vietnam that killed millions.

    shame shame shame.

the first Iranian to be killed in Iraq, though I never met him, nor even knew his name until only recently, he was my brother, not biologically, but my ethnic brother, he was a brother and a son to all Iranians. He is my reason for hating this war, among others.

    Dear Calogero,
GW Bush pushed for war against Iraq for two reasons:
    1- God told him.
2- Iraq owns a lot of american oil, underground.
This reasons are now somewhat official in the USA, and they did not fail to be true. So, your issue does not make sense.

    calogero scrive:

Surely a lot of US politicians, an also a lot of europe politicians made mistakes, belived in false information and said wrong things. But this war has been decided by mr GWBUSH and is staff, and it is unacceptable the obstinacy way mr GWB insist in defending this usless war when US troops have not found WMD yet. Remember that was the main (only?) reason to justify Iraq’s invasion. So, I think that logically, if the main reason you do something is false, your action must be a mistake, right?

it is ironic that no country today would be here without fighting in some form of a war. And still, people live in them as if it were founded on peace alone.

Wake up people. Bush is not an enemy of peace, the liberals are.

i didn’t thought we were discussing. You come out of nowhere, but welcome into the discussion.

“that rather depressing line of Christmas Trees in which you used the names of American soldiers killed in action for your thinly veiled condemnation of Bush.”

it’s nice someone remembers them names, don’t you think so?
I’m not willing to forgot each single one of them. If you’re a proud veteran as you boldly state you should be by my side on this. Otherwise the lincoln memorial is crap. Are you saying that?

“Rather sad that you didn’t have the chance to ask them, since they would probably have told you that they were proud to be doing the job they were doing…and if ASKED if you could use their names in this way, would likely have told you to go to Hell.”

I think this is only out-of-place rethoric, man. Really. I guess when someone dies, if there’s an afterlife, he must be deeply sad about leaving his relatives and friends forever: someone i don’t remember told (Napoleon maybe?) “those who say that war is glorious and dying in war is cool have NEVER BEEN TO WAR”.
And i’m quite sure, buddy, that for 1 “proud to be dead for the cause” marine there were 19 civilians called back to the army or there just to get food for their families. Not everyone is rambo, innit?

zachary, i guess we are starting to understand each other and i’m really happy about that. :)
Nobody, NOBODY here thinks that people dying is fun, whoever they are and for whoever reason they die for. Really.
And NOBODY EVER meant to make fun of somebody who died for a REAL reason like growing up his family or feeding his spouse/husband, let alone Bushie’s fables. PERIOD.
I have lost two friends in a war (a different war, but all wars are the same) and i know what it means - the impotence and the fury and the incapability to give yourself an explanation when your friends are not there anymore. I don’t know if Swampy managed to convey this concept 100% in his movie, but i think that tentatively his message was trying to get along with the same accusation line to the US GOV as Michael Moore, or whoever-on-the-left you want to. And i’m pretty pretty sure lots of rightist-wannabees were ready to jump on the “f*ck swampthing” bandwagon just to raise consensus over their obvious-to-everyone misbehavings.

If you say “these people died, and it’s Bush’s fault”, you have a point.
If you say “these people died, and it’s Bush’s fault, and it’s funny”, I think you detract from the message of tolerance and peace, and confuse your argument.

Some people will be offended no matter what you say, but if you show them respect it’s more likely they will listen to your point of view.

to all the Italians, your english is really impressive, wish I could speak your language half as well.

Ahhh…so if George Bush said he ordered spying in America against suspected terrrorists…then that means you can spy on people that write here, too? So you girls = George Bush.

Notice how you and your fake buddies´ whining never answers my questions but rather tries to attack me? Call me names, make fun of me…but you still like Americans!!!!
Isn´t that another one of your “radical” approaches to criticism - don´t answer it - attack the writer. The only freedom of speech you want is yours - everyone else that does not agree with you is an idiot.
(And so what if multiple names come from one IP address - it´s a computer in the university library - anyone can use it; probably hundreds use it each day. )
Have fun spying on the writers that post here - what do you do, turn the IP addresses over to some left-wing terror hit squad? Why are you spying on your writers?

    ———
And what I am wondering about is why don´t you have a clever Flash animation lisitng the names of the over 30,000 Iraqis that were killed in the military action?
Because you could care less about them - you are just interested in being a clever internet cliche’ of the week.

    ———–
Tip: Start deleting/blocking my posts so no one can read them. That way you can prove how you believe in freedom of speech, too.
